Mercer County, WV (WOAY)- A Mercer County organization is stepping up to collect hygiene necessities for the community, and they’re asking for your help.
Community Connections, Inc. is hosting a Hygiene Drive through Thanksgiving to support individuals and families throughout Mercer County.
Amid the government shutdown and dropping temperatures, Community Connections wants to ensure everyone has access to essential hygiene products.
The organization is asking for donations such as:
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soap and body wash
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Feminine hygiene products
- Lotion, razors, and other personal care items
Donors can drop off items at any Mercer County Blessing Box location or at Community Connections, Inc. at 215 S. Walker Street in Princeton, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Organizers will distribute items to local blessing boxes and share with area agencies serving residents in need.
Community Connections is encouraging donors to participate before Thanksgiving to help ensure supplies reach those most in need during the holiday season.
