Commission approves grant to expand broadband to Quinwood

QUINWOOD, WV (WOAY) – The Greenbrier County Commission finalized their Community Development Block Grant  for the Quinwood broadband project.

This means $583,000 will be used to expand broadband throughout the Quinwood area.

The commission has been discussing this for a while and now the money has been officially finalized.

“This certainly brings economic benefits to an area that is in need of it, and it certainly will also be able to connect with our future plans of bringing broadband to the entire county,” Greenbrier County Commissioner Tammy Tincher said.

Tincher says this will also be big as more people are working from home and could potentially be schooling from home as well.
