SHORT TERM: The temperature and wind-chill will be brutal throughout the day in our area, especially at higher elevations as the skies stay clear. The weekend shows promise too, as we start to warm up Saturday through Sunday. We have a chance for late showers on Sunday, but the morning and afternoon should be off without a hitch.
LONG TERM: On Monday, rain will come through as we reach into the high 50s, making for an unusually warm day. Tuesday is much of the same, as afternoon showers are possible and we get back into the 60s. A cold front blows through on Wednesday, spelling rain, possible snow, and much lower temperatures then and through the rest of the week. Meteorologist Christian Boteler breaks down the details:
