Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY) – Cleanup efforts are still continuing after a truck carrying 4,000 gallons of diesel crashed on I-64 yesterday.
Greenbrier County Emergency Management says crews have been skimming diesel off barriers placed in Howard Creek.
An underflow dam was built near the end of the drainage shoot and has caught much of the fuel.
The dam is staying in place to collect any more fuel that has leaked into the creek.
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection is overseeing the cleanup and repair of creek banks.
