Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Officials with the City of Beckley gathered to swear in a new City Manager on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Phillip Jarrell was sworn in by Judge Darl Poling as Beckley’s new interim City Manager.
Mr. Jarrell is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, West Virginia Tech as well as serving in the United States Marine Corp. Jarrell was also formerly employed as the Purchasing Director for the Raleigh County Board of Education.
Mr. Jarrell takes over the position formerly held by Beckley’s first City Manager Michael Resare who resigned after serving in the position for less than two months.
