Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The city of Beckley is currently accepting entries for the annual Christmas parade, kicking off on Saturday,December 2.
The theme this year is Christmas Villages, such as Whoville or the North Pole, but feel free to get creative.
There will be a float competition, judging entries across several categories, including churches, businesses, schools, non-profits, and service clubs.
Trophies will be awarded for the best overall float, judge’s choice, best dance group, animal unit, classic car and bands.
A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the best overall winner, and $50 will be given to the winners of the additional five float categories.
Anyone interested in participating must complete and submit an entry form by Thursday, November 30.
