Chuck Mathena Center presents “Dirty Dancing” drive-in movie

PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, the Chuck Mathena Center is hosting its second community drive-in.

The event is free to attend and tomorrow night, the center is showing the movie Dirty Dancing at 9 p.m. The center hopes to continue with the events, thanks to an anonymous donation that made it possible in the first place.

“They support our mission of bringing the arts to Mercer County and this is just another facet of doing that,” said executive director Candace Wilson. “We’re always trying to branch out in our community and touch different people that don’t normally come here. This is just something our entire community can get behind.”

Last week was the center’s first movie night. Wilson says the turnout was great, with around 30 cars at the showing.
