Tonight is going to be a cold one for folks in the Greenbrier Valley. Overnight lows will be in the mid to low 30s for places like Greenbrier and Monroe Counties, which is prompting a frost advisory for overnight tonight into early tomorrow morning. Bring your sensitive plants inside as well as your pets, and check to see if your pipes are in good condition too.
After a chilly night, expect a pleasant warm-up tomorrow, with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. A slow warming trend will continue through the week, bringing temperatures back into the 80s by midweek. However, a brief cooldown is expected before another warm spell arrives.
By the end of the week, Southern West Virginia may see its next chance for rain, thanks to a tropical system currently churning in the Gulf. As it moves inland, it could bring rain to our area by Friday. Stay tuned for updates as the system progresses. For now, enjoy chilly nights and warm, dry afternoons!
