Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): The extended holiday weekend allowed many race organization to host the ever-popular Fourth of July 5K, one of which our own chief meteorologist participated in!
Chad Merrill pushed himself through the sultry weather in the D.C. suburbs Sunday to a fifth place finish and first place in age group place! The race was in Montgomery Village, Md. His friend, a 79-year old athlete also earned a ribbon for placing in her age group.
Congratulations, Chad, on a great race amidst very humid weather!
