Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY)- Traveling to the Greenbrier resort has just become a little more convenient.
Contour Airlines has added a daily round-trip flight between Chicago and Greenbrier Valley Airport.
Fares will cost $79 one way and will run daily from June 1 through October 31.
A shuttle will be available to take passengers from the airport to the Greenbrier Resort.
To celebrate the return of this highly anticipated route, Greenbrier Valley Airport will host a
ceremonial launch event on Monday, June 2, featuring a traditional water cannon salute and press ceremony.
The inaugural flight is expected to arrive at 4:55 PM and will be greeted with the ceremonial water cannon salute upon arrival.
The new flights are in addition to the nine round-trip flights per week between Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Greenbrier Valley Airport, which Contour Airlines already provides.
