Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – State Treasurer Larry Pack stopped in Beckley today to present an unclaimed property check to Raleigh County Parks and Recreation.
That check returned more than $7,000, which came from a stale, dated check.
Parks and Recreation Executive Director Molly Williams said the money will help pay for facility maintenance, supplies, and staffing.
She said there was more money than they expected. If you want to see if you are owed any unclaimed property, you can check by visiting the West Virginia Treasurer’s website.
