Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – Kara Evans, a pre-school teacher at New River Primary, received an award from her alma mater acknowledging her excellence in teaching.
It was the first year Concord University awarded the Decade of Distinction – 10 under 10 – award to 10 graduates who are now active teachers.
Kara is in her 11th year of teaching and says her favorite part is seeing the kids grow and develop, while the hardest part is matching their energy.
She is from Fayetteville and graduated from the old Fayetteville High School.
