RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The annual Bill Withers Memorial Festival will be in full swing on Saturday, June 28, from 1 to 8 pm.
Enjoy eight different musical acts, inspired by Withers and performing the legend’s songs, including: HGTA Theatre Group, Trey Waycaster, Moon King, as well as a dance party.
“Spend Saturday afternoon with us, we will have several vendors here, activities, and celebrate that the Bill Withers statue is up this year,” said Beckley Events Executive Director Jill Moorefield.
According to Moorfield, they have the musical playground equipment and a new public guitar art display.
“A dozen local artists have painted beautiful guitar forms and put them around the plaza,” the executive director said. “We’ll also be awarding our Lovely Day Art Contest winners, and the youth art contest. Come out and celebrate all things Bill Withers.”
