RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Throughout National Disabilities Month and beyond, Beckley Church of God is raising awareness about the inclusion of people with disabilities and the barriers they face.
On Sunday, March 16, at 6 pm, Joni and Friends’ Ohio Ministry Relations Manager Wally Ziolo will share how dedicated volunteers collect used wheelchairs and other mobility equipment for the disabled.
“A gospel story Lifting the Roof and the importance of Luke 14 to bring in the poor, the lame, the blind, the disabled,” said BCOG Special Needs Coordinator Debbie O’Neal. “He will answer questions afterwards, which I think is important because there’s so many degrees of disabilities. We’re not all labeled disabled; we have many abilities within ourselves too.”
