Causeacon is coming back this week and you’re invited to join in the fun

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- Calling all pop culture lovers, anime fans, gamers, movie buffs, and anyone who just wants to have a good time for a good cause! There’s an event happening in Raleigh County next weekend that you do not want to miss!

Causeacon is a 3-day-long anime/pop culture/gamer convention that takes place every April. Causeacon is a charity event raising money to benefit AWAY, formerly known as the Women’s Resource Center, and its mission.

Away’s mission? To educate and shelter men, women, and children suffering from domestic and sexual violence. This event started about 7 years ago after a parent talked to AWAY about bringing a con to Beckley, and it has only grown since.

The convention will be jam-packed with its returning attractions like gaming tournaments, cosplay contests, dance parties, bingo, and so much more.

Causeacon will run from Friday, 25th to the 27th at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center. Tickets are can be purchased online at the link below or at the door.
