Catholic Charities West Virginia hosting Essentials for Disaster Case Managers Training in Princeton on October 23-24

Princeton, WV (WOAY)-Catholic Charities West Virginia is helping prepare local responders for times of crisis. 

The organization will host a two-day Essentials for Disaster Case Managers Training in Princeton on October 23-24 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall on Harrison Street. 

The program, developed by Catholic Charities USA, equips case managers and community responders with the tools they need to help individuals and families recover from disasters. 

Participants will take part in interactive sessions covering 10 key areas of disaster case management and will have the chance to earn a national Disaster Case Management Certification upon completion. 

Training runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, with lunch provided.

Attendance on both days is required for certification, and registration is limited to 30 participants.

Nonprofit organizations that work directly with disaster victims will receive priority registration.
