Fayette County, WV (WOAY) Around noon this Sunday, Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Glen Jean area after reports of a vehicle being operated recklessly and leaving the roadway.
According to a statement from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies made contact with the driver in Glen Jean, who allegedly displayed signs of impairment and fled, leading deputies and Oak Hill police officers on a pursuit through Oak Hill before being stopped and taken into custody.
When police searched the vehicle, they found suspected cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana, and approximately $8,126 in cash.
The driver also underwent a field sobriety test and provided a preliminary breath sample registering a blood alcohol level of .09.
31-year-old Samuel England of Clayton, Ohio, was charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, as well as one felony charge of fleeing in a vehicle while intoxicated.
His bond is set at $100,000.
