Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) The Canyon Rim Rotary Club is asking for the community’s help to support West Virginians recovering from recent flooding.
The club will host a relief supply drive on Sunday, July 26, from noon until 4:00 p.m. in the middle parking lot of the Fayette County Board of Education in Fayetteville.
Needed donations include cleaning supplies, extension cords, fans, air mattresses, paper products, non-perishable food, sports drinks, trash bags, mops, brooms, shovels, and disinfecting wipes.
Organizers say clothing and monetary donations will not be accepted at the collection site. All donated items will be delivered to West Virginia Wesleyan University on Monday, July 27, for distribution to flood-impacted communities.
Community members are also invited to volunteer to help load the trailer following the collection.
