Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Sheriff’s office has made an arrest in a burglary investigation.
Eli Mahoney has been charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny, attempt to commit a felony, and offenses related to the disruption of electrical service.
At least two other people are believed to be involved.
The sheriff’s office says multiple businesses were broken into, and cash and merchandise were allegedly stolen. Deputies say power was purposely cut to the building to shut off lights and surveillance equipment.
