Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Bridge Day is coming up on October 17th, and Active SWV is gearing up for the Bridge Day 5K run.
The race course starts on the north side of the New River Gorge Bridge and gives runners a chance to take in the beautiful views while running south toward the Court Street finish line in downtown Fayetteville.
Proceeds benefit free Kids Run Clubs in the New River Gorge region.
Participants must be at least 8 years of age and able to run the full race, as walking is restricted due to road closures with the official Bridge Day event.
The Bridge Day race is limited to 600 runners, but if sign-ups reach capacity, there will be an option to join a waitlist until October 13th.
