HINTON, WV (WOAY) – The Summers County community came together Friday night to honor 2014 graduate Isaiah Brown, who passed away Monday night.
Keeping social distancing guidelines in mind, organizers staged a “drive-thru memorial” at Garten Stadium, where friends and fans were able to pay their respects to Brown. He competed in football, basketball, and track for the Bobcats, earning All-State Second Team honors in football in 2013.
Those who knew Isaiah well remember many positive characteristics, including his selflessness and his desire to help others in his community also succeed.
Head football coach Chris Vicars says there are ongoing discussions about honoring Brown during the upcoming football season this fall.
