Bluefield, VA (WOAY) – A Virginia police department is collecting donations.
The collection drive is in response to recent flooding that heavily impacted Southwest Virginia. The Bluefield, Virginia Police Department is accepting the donations through March 2, 2025.
To help with cleanup efforts, the department is collecting essential cleaning supplies to distribute to those in need.
Items needed:
Mops and brooms
Rags and sponges
Paper towels
Bleach and disinfectants
Buckets and trash bags
Gloves and other cleaning essentials
Donations can be dropped off at the Bluefield Virginia Police Department at 600 Virginia Avenue, Bluefield, VA.
The police department hopes to fill a cargo trailer and distribute the supplies to the communities where they are most needed.
