MERCER, W.Va. (WOAY) — Bluefield state university was the recipient of a generous donation, a new bus for the athletics department, allowing the students to ride in safety to away games.
Some students and faculty felt it was time for a new ride, especially for the reliability
“We’ve had many teams start out on a journey or even come back from a destination and the vehicle breaks down,” Dierdre Guyton, the BSU Vice President for Corporate Development said.
This would not be possible without the help of the Bluefield State University wrestling coach, Blaze Shade. And for those who made this happen, it means so much more than just a new vehicle.
“It means a lot to me that students get an experience and they get a positive experience particularly when they are representing the college,” Guyton said.
