Bluefield man sentenced for conspiracy to deliver fentanyl, other drugs

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Cory Callen, a 34-year-old man from Bluefield, West Virginia, was sentenced to ten years for conspiracy to possess illegal drugs, including fentanyl, with the intent to deliver.

Callen also faces a murder charge and other offenses in Mercer County.

He was arrested in February 2023 following a traffic stop on US-19.

After investigating, Oak Hill Police officers found 400 pills as well as a powder. The substances tested positive for fentanyl, oxymorphone, tramadol, and cocaine.

The passenger in the vehicle, Deron Yarrell, was convicted earlier this year.
