Blue Bell issues recall on select quantities of ice cream due to nut allergy risk

CNN -Depending on where you live, you may want to check your freezer.

Blue Bell is recalling some ice cream over an allergy risk.

The recall applies to a limited quantity of its half-gallon Moo-llennium Crunch ice cream that was mistakenly packaged in chocolate chip cookie dough cartons.

The cartons have a Moo-llennium crunch lid.

The company states that the ice cream contains undeclared almonds, walnuts, and pecans.

People who are allergic to those nuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume them.

The ice cream was sold in 16 states, including Southwest Virginia.

Blue Bell says no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.

Consumers can return the ice cream to the store for a full refund.
