Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – Creating new life along Beckley’s rail trail was part of the city’s outdoor initiative, and they will cut the ribbon on 4 brand-new mountain bike features on Saturday, August 22 at noon.
The features were made possible through a grant from the Center for Active West Virginia at WVU.
Elevation Sports was also part of the collaborative effort along with Active Southern West Virginia, which plans to hold group rides along the trail and will also help facilitate a bike for those who need one.
Beckley Outdoors has plans for more trails and features, and the current rail trail will be a vital conduit between them.
