Big Transition Into Cool Spell, Frost Likely

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Tune in at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. tonight as we broadcast from Greenbrier East in Lewisburg!

Following a gorgeous day with a spectacular sunset expected, changes are afloat for Saturday. Only 0.10″ of rain is expected Saturday between 7-11 a.m. and then clouds will break for sun and temperatures will rebound from 52 degrees to near 63 degrees by 4:30 p.m.

Early Monday, a frost is expected in western Greenbrier and Pocahontas county while the rest of us from Route 19 to the Greenbrier Valley will wake up a light frost (not a widespread killing frost that will end the growing season) Monday and Tuesday morning under a clear sky, calm wind and lows reaching the point of frost formation…. 36 degrees.

We will rebound to 80 degrees by the middle of next week. The severe to extreme drought will continue next week with no rain expected. The next threat for rain is Sept 16-18.
