War, WV (WOAY) – McDowell County Big Creek People in Action FSC and Life Bridge AmeriCorps members are stepping up in a big way to support the community.
The groups have 200 free food boxes packed and ready to go for anyone in need.
The giveaway kicks off on Thursday, September 4, at 1:00 p.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. or until supplies last, right across from Bunky’s Burgers in War.
Inside the boxes, you can expect a mix of frozen meals and non-perishable food items.
Organizers encourage everyone to spread the word to their family, friends, and neighbors because no one should go hungry.
