Morgantown, WV (WOAY, video courtesy WDTV) – After starting the season with high expectations, West Virginia women’s basketball finds itself on the NCAA bubble with a handful of games left before the Big 12 Tournament.
Mike Carey’s squad still has a chance to finish .500 in league play, and came one step closer to that mark Wednesday with a 77-73 win over TCU.
West Virginia led for much of the night, but several second-half runs from the Horned Frogs kept the outcome in doubt until late in the game.
Teana Muldrow scored a career-high 25 points to go along with 14 rebounds, while Tynice Martin also had 25 points. WVU heads to Oklahoma State Saturday, and hosts the regular-season finale Monday against Kansas.
