Big 12 Men’s Basketball – Oklahoma @ West Virginia

Morgantown, WV (WOAY, video courtesy WDTV) – Last year, West Virginia men’s basketball lost two of three to Oklahoma.

When the two met in Morgantown Wednesday, the Mountaineers were hoping for better luck.

WVU trailed by three at halftime and led by 15 at one point in the second half, but the Sooners rallied to force overtime and win 89-87 at the WVU Coliseum.

Jevon Carter, who was named the Naismith Trophy Player of the Week on Tuesday, had a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Nathan Adrian had 14 points.

West Virginia heads to Kansas State on Saturday, and returns to Morgantown next Tuesday to face Kansas.
