Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – With plenty of snow this winter season and consistently cold temperatures creating the best ski season in years, Winterplace is making the most of winter with exciting events lined up through the month of February.
Thursday nights this month feature throw-down Thursdays, which are terrain park sessions for all ages and skill levels.
Friday night gates kick off at six p.m. each week, where adults can race head-to-head in friendly competition, and top finishers take home prizes.
The weekend of February 21 and 22 is Bluebird Fest, a two-day celebration featuring mini big air on Friday afternoon and a family race on Saturday. It’s a friendly competition for the whole family.
February 27 is the Friday night gates final race and awards ceremony.
With 27 out of 28 trails open and a 60-inch snow base, current conditions are prime for a great February at Winterplace.
