Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – We are approaching the Summer solstice, and the world is in bloom, including those rhododendrons planted around our homes and gardens. That, of course, is the cue for Beckley’s Rhododendron Festival!
Beckley’s bounce house will be there for the kids, along with some balloon animals. The event is free, but you can purchase a ticket for 5 dollars at the event to sample 5 of the present treats. You’ll also get a voting coin to allow you to vote for your favorite.
You can also enter the photo contest by taking a picture of a rhododendron as creatively as you can and posting it online with the hashtag #wvrhodofest25. Of course, the festival is not limited to Saturday; activities are planned through May 24th.
