Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Beckley Warming Center is opening its doors again this weekend for those in need of shelter from the cold, and volunteers are needed to cover shifts.
The shelter aims to remain open from Saturday, January 24, through Tuesday, January 27, at 217 S. Heber Street, in the Beckley Community United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall.
The building serves as a warming center overnight when temperatures are below 15 degrees, including wind chill.
The shelter opens at 8:00 pm and will remain open overnight until 7:00 am.
Anyone interested in signing up as a volunteer can sign up online.
