Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce is notifying the public of a phishing scam following a mass email circulating this morning.
The email was sent from Denise Southern at the Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and includes a PDF titled “Approve Final Statement”.
The message prompts users to enter a password to open it, and then the PDF directs users to a website asking for Google login credentials.
If you entered your Google or Gmail password, you are advised to change it immediately and not reply to that email.
The BRCCC says this is a credential‑harvesting scam, and they have notified their email provider.
