Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce celebrates 100th anniversary

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce held a private celebration for their 100th anniversary.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce was unable to have their annual gala, which they rely on each year for funding programs. In place of the Gala this year the chamber has put in place a 100 Anniversary cash club drawing worth 4,000 dollars.

“100 years of servicing our service to our business community. We are so excited to be here today it’s just a testament how strong our organization is,” said President & CEO Michelle Rotellini.

The event was originally scheduled for August 21st at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center.

“We had 700 hundred members in the Beckley-Raleigh County area. One of our members who is a sponsor today is Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, they’ve always been the title sponsor for 25 years,” said Rotellini.

Committee Chairman Richard Jarrell says that he’s most excited about the youth of the Chamber.

“Even though we have to deal with the issues of COVID we want to be able to come together and celebrate what is a monumental accomplishment to service for a 100 years,” said Jarrell.

The private celebration was sponsored by Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
