Beckley, WV (WOAY)-The Beckley Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Wednesday, July 3, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The checkpoint will be located near the intersection of Second Street and Thornhill courts.
There will be an alternate location on Johnstown Road at Jefferson Street.
Authorities will also conduct roving DUI patrols throughout the evening and night.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of driving while under the influence.
