Beckley mayor and BRCCC CEO get tested to show support for community testing and mask wear

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Two familiar faces in Beckley were tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday to show their support for wearing masks and community testing.

Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce CEO Michelle Rotellini and Beckley Mayor Rob Rappold were both tested at Beckley ARH’s drive-thru site.

Both did it to show how simple it is to be tested and also to show how wearing masks will help keep our economy open.

“West Virginians are known for their compassion and their desire to literally give the shirts off their back for their fellow West Virginian, and this is a way to demonstrate that same attitude and compassion in a different way,” Rappold said.

Beckley ARH has daily drive-thru testing behind their Southern West Virginia Clinic next to the hospital from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. No doctors order or symptoms required. You are encouraged to bring your insurance card.
