BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A Beckley hospital has received a four-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service.
Jackie Withrow Hospital provides care to West Virginians who are eligible for Medicaid and need to stay in a nursing home long-term.
The hospital said the four-star rating is based on health inspections, measures of quality, and staffing. Administrator Aimee Bragg said it’s directly connected to the work her team does.
“They care for these patients like they would their own families and these scores are a testament to that hard work,” she said. “Without this teamwork, we would not have the opportunity to receive this recognition. I am incredibly humbled by the work that our team puts in day in and day out to make sure patients have the best experience possible.”
Most of the hospital’s patients have both physical and mental conditions.
