Warm Start to The Week, Then Stormy

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): High pressure will give way to a slow-moving front that promises a couple rounds of rain and storms.

Chief Meteorologist Chad Merrill’s latest forecast:

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM TIMING: Thursday: Morning to early afternoon. Friday: Between 2-8 PM. Saturday: 20% risk for a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely after 1 p.m. Memorial Day: Shower possible prior to Noon. Tuesday: Afternoon showers possible.

TEMPERATURES and LATE MONTH OUTLOOK: Wednesday and Saturday will be the warmest days with highs in the 80s. The coolest days will be Thursday and Friday, but it will still be rather humid. Tuesday, May 28 to the end of the month will be cool with low humidity, if you are looking forward to a break from the heat and humidity.
