Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Beckley Fire Department is currently investigating exactly what led to a fire at a local building.
On Tuesday, January 6, around 10:30 p.m, the Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at the former Beckley Hospital building at 1007 South Oakwood Avenue.
Units arrived on the scene within minutes of receiving the call and, upon arrival, discovered flames coming from the building’s second floor.
The department reports that the damages were limited to one room and minor heat damage at the building’s entrance.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.
The Beckley Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Division is leading the investigation into the fire.
