Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley Detachment of the West Virginia State Police is investigating a fraudulent scheme involving the theft of money and merchandise intended for the Whittaker Family.
According to an official incident report, authorities state 41-year-old Eric Carroll of Georgia and 46-year-old Patrick Roark of Odd have fraudulently been accepting donations on behalf of the Whittaker Family.
The investigating officer is requesting that any person who has sent any money or merchandise to these individuals, or any other individuals, for the Whittaker Family, contact and provide the information regarding that exchange.
