Beckley, WV (WOAY) A couple of community events are giving residents opportunities to focus on their health and wellness this week.
Beckley ARHÂ will partner with Home Base Incorporated for its anniversary celebration today from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Parenting and Behavioral Support Center at Oakwood Avenue in Beckley.
The event will feature free health screenings and family-friendly activities, including stroke assessments, A1C testing, BMI testing, blood pressure screenings, and more.
And on Friday, in partnership with United Apostolic Faith Church and the Beckley Fire Department, Beckley ARH will host another health fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church on South Kanawha Street in Beckley.
Free services will include naloxone training, healthy food recipes, information about ARH services and employment opportunities, and hands-only CPR training provided by the Beckley Fire Department.
