Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital and the American Red Cross are partnering to host a blood drive today, August 23, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
ARH Community Development Manager Kelly Elkins emphasizes the importance of donating blood, especially during this time, and hopes for a large turnout.
Amid a nationwide decrease in blood donations, supplies are particularly low during the summer.
The blood drive will occur at ARH’s hospital gymnasium, next to the emergency room on 306 Stanaford Road in Beckley.
Walk-ins are welcome, but you can also visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment to donate.
