Beckley, WV (WOAY) If you’re looking for a way to make a lifesaving difference, the American Red Cross is urging people to donate blood.
A blood drive will be held on Thursday, June 11, at Beckley ARH from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Donors of all blood types are needed as the Red Cross works to maintain a strong blood supply heading into the busy summer months.
The organization says scheduled donations have dropped in recent weeks, while summer travel, school breaks, and hurricane season can all impact blood collections.
As a thank you, anyone who donates between June 1st and June 28th will receive a $15 e-gift card and be entered for a chance to win one of two $7,500 gift cards.
