Fayetteville, WV (WOAY)-Firefighters in Fayetteville quickly contained a hotel fire Monday night.
Crews responded to the Quality Inn on October 27 after reports of flames in one wing of the building.
The Fayetteville fire department arrived within seven minutes, bringing two engines, a ladder truck, and a heavy rescue unit.Â
Automatic aid from Oak Hill, Ansted, and Nuttall fire departments helped get the fire under control, while crews from Mount Hope, Gauley Bridge, and Boomer provided district coverage.Â
Investigators say the fire started in the laundry room and spread to nearby rooms and into the attic, but an aggressive attack kept it from moving further.Â
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and the State Fire Marshal are investigating the cause.Â
