Authorities investigate Beckley shooting that left one person injured

Beckley, WV (WOAY)- Beckley authorities are investigating a shooting early this morning.

Deputy Chief Allard confirmed that the incident happened at a home on the 700 block of South Fayette Street around 1:00 am on Thursday, April 10.

Authorities discovered that one or more suspects fired multiple shots into a residence in the area, striking a 29-year-old man.

Emergency services transported the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Beckley Police Department’s Detective Bureau is canvassing the area and securing surveillance video footage from nearby residences and businesses to find leads.
