Ronceverte, WV (WOAY) – U.S. Marshals announce that the armed fugitive from Greenbrier County is in custody.
Travis Devonte Fernatt,25, is currently facing two counts of attempted murder of a police officer and presentation of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The search for the fugitive began Saturday night, after a deputy attempted a traffic stop of a pickup truck on Russellville road.
The truck then fled the scene, and the passenger identified as Fernatt, began shooting towards the police cars.
They continued to flee to the Bellburn area, where the suspect exited the truck and fled into the woods.
The driver was caught immediately, but Fernatt was at large until he was captured by U.S. Marshals on Beech street in Ronceverte at 11:00pm last night.
