Appalachian Regional Healthcare hosting system wide food drive to combat food insecurity in local communities

West Virginia (WOAY) – Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) and the ARH Foundation are partnering with God’s Pantry Food Bank to host a system-wide food drive to combat food insecurity in the communities it serves.

All ARH hospitals are currently serving as drop-off locations for non-perishable food donations.

God’s Pantry will distribute all donations to ensure they remain in the local communities that need them most.

Food insecurity remains a critical issue in eastern Kentucky and southern West Virginia, with many families relying on local food banks for daily meals.

Community members can drop off non-perishable food items at any ARH hospital.

Canned vegetables, soups, peanut butter, pasta, rice, and other shelf-stable goods are suggested donation items.

You can visit arh.org to find your nearest drop-off location
