Summers County, WV (WOAY) – A fire at an apartment complex in Summers County displaced several residents over the weekend.
According to Summers County 911, the fire started at Hedrick House Apartments in Hilldale just before midnight on Sunday.
Firefighters arrived to a major working fire at one of the buildings. The fire was brought under control by 4 a.m.
One minor injury was reported, but 11 people were displaced. They have all been sheltered and are being taken care of by Property Management, the American Red Cross, and the Sumter County Office of Emergency Management.
Departments from Summers County, Greenbrier County, Monroe County, and Mercer County either responded or were placed on standby.
The fire is under investigation.
