BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Shade Tree and Smooth Impressions Car Clubs held another car cruise today, this time at the Tamarack.
The car clubs were also joined by the Antique Automobile Club of America, which was supposed to have their annual event this weekend, but it was unfortunately canceled due to the coronavirus.
The President of the AACA of Beckley Jack Jarrell said the loss of their annual event is disappointing, but they are eager to have another in the future.
“This was going to be our national event here today, so it’s very disappointing but we’re gonna have it again in 2022. Same date, hopefully. We’re looking forward to it. It’ll be a huge car show; we’ll probably have about 450 cars, or more,” Jarrell said.
This makes the sixth car cruise to happen in 2020, with more planned in the coming weeks.
